Chris Urquhart

Chris Urquhart founded Immediate Communications after a distinguished career as a broadcast journalist and presenter.¬† He began his career as a reporter for 2Day FM, before working as a newsreader for Triple M, Nova and 2GB.¬† When he switched to television, Chris developed a reputation as an honest and engaging storyteller at Seven News, Nine News, A Current Affair,¬†Today and ABC’s 730.

As a reporter, Chris travelled around Australia and around the world reporting on news, sport, politics, lifestyle and entertainment stories.  He covered natural disasters, federal politics from Parliament House in Canberra and counter-terrorism including the Lindt Cafe siege in Sydney.

He has interviewed a host of A-List stars including Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, Lionel Richie and Keith Urban.¬† He’s caught crocodiles with Bindi Irwin and her family in remote North Queensland.¬† He’s joined SWAT raids with the Miami Police.¬† He’s covered Royal visits to Australia and New Zealand.¬† Chris was a replacement host on Mornings¬†with Sonia Kruger and on Weekend Today¬†alongside Deb Knight.¬†¬†

Chris is still a regular weekend columnist for news.com.au and guest on Today and YourMoney programs.

All of this experience has shaped Chris as a master storyteller.  At Immediate Communications he oversees the planning, production and execution of every project, guiding our experienced crews.  His elite media performance training program has hundreds of successful and confident graduates.
